Gilb Museum Website
The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage has preserved and celebrated the city's story since 2001. This project was created in partnership with the museum to expand their educational outreach and bring Arcadia's history to life in a new, interactive format.
This project was designed and built by Shaunak Sathe as an Eagle Scout Service Project for Boy Scouts of America Troop 2131. It represents the culmination of planning, community partnership, historical research, app development, and volunteer coordination.
Start at the Gilb Museum, then follow the clues in order. The app uses GPS to confirm you're near each stop before unlocking the riddle. Solve each riddle, submit your answer, and a clue to the next location appears automatically.
All stops are concentrated along Huntington Drive and the adjacent Arboretum area. Zone A stops are all walkable from the Gilb Museum. Zone B (the Arboretum cluster) requires a short drive west on Huntington Drive.
